Academic Visit | IDEA Nepal – Orientation, Interaction & Excellence Award 2025

The British Academy of Arts and Design (BAAD) successfully organized an academic visit to IDEA Nepal for Diploma in Interior Design students for the program “Orientation, Interior Interaction & Excellence Award 2025.”

Pattern and Texture in Interior Design

In interior design, pattern and texture play a vital role in shaping the visual language and tactile experience of a space.

Pattern refers to the repetition of visual motifs — such as geometric shapes, organic lines, or decorative elements — which help establish rhythm, movement, and visual hierarchy in design.

Texture describes the surface quality of materials, whether smooth, rough, soft, or coarse. Texture affects how we perceive light, depth, and comfort in a space.
