Technical Session Update | SketchUp – Module 5, 6 & 7

Technical class on SketchUp for Interior Design students, covering advanced modules focused on modeling efficiency, materials, and presentation.

*MODULE 5: Groups & Components*

Students learned to improve workflow and model organization through:

* Creating and editing groups

* Creating components for repeated elements

* Understanding the importance of grouping for clean and efficient modeling

*MODULE 6: Materials & Textures*

The session emphasized realistic visualization through:

* Applying materials to surfaces

* Editing materials (color and texture)

* Scaling and positioning textures accurately

* Application on interior finishes such as walls, floors, and furniture surfaces

*MODULE 7: Styles & Entity Information*

Students explored presentation and data understanding through:

* Default styles and visual settings

* Monochrome style for face orientation checking

* Shaded and textured display styles

* Using Entity Info to analyze dimensions, area, volume, and material properties

This session enhanced students’ skills in model organization, material application, and visual presentation, supporting their ability to create accurate and professional interior design models.
