Technical Session Update | SketchUp – Module 8 & 9
Advanced SketchUp session for Interior Design students covering Module 8: Tags (Layers) & Model Organization and Module 9: Shadows & Lighting Study.
In Module 8, students learned to efficiently organize their models by:
* Creating and managing tags (layers)
* Assigning tags correctly for different elements
* Developing a structured tagging system for walls, furniture, lighting, and ceiling components
In Module 9, the focus shifted to environmental and visual analysis, where students explored:
* Enabling shadows and adjusting date and time settings
* Understanding sun direction and light behavior
* Conducting interior light and shadow analysis
* Creating mood and atmosphere within interior spaces
This session enhanced students’ skills in model organization, lighting understanding, and visual composition, essential for professional interior design practice.
