1. Introduction to AutoCAD

Students were introduced to the AutoCAD interface and workspace environment, including:

* Workspace overview

* Toolbars, command line, and navigation bar

* Units, limits, and basic settings setup

The session emphasized the transition from hand sketching to CAD drafting, highlighting the importance of accuracy, precision, and professional standards in interior design documentation. Students practiced converting simple hand sketches into accurate CAD line drawings.

2. Basic Drawing Tools & Core Commands

Students developed practical skills using fundamental commands such as:

* Line, Polyline, Rectangle, Circle, and Arc

* Move, Copy, Rotate, Scale, and Mirror

* Developing Drafting Accuracy

Special focus was given to improving technical precision through:

* Grid system

* Ortho mode

* Object Snap (OSNAP)

* Polar Tracking

This module strengthens students’ ability to produce accurate, professional drawings and lays the foundation for advanced CAD applications in interior design projects.
